  The arbour came before the email for the delivery date so unfortunately I wasn't at home so the driver had to leave it outside the bay window. It was there for about 3 hours until I arrived home. Also when my gardener undid the arbour there was damage to one side of the arbour fortunately he was able to repair it but that does not give you a good name, otherwise it is now erected and painted and looks very good ready for the summer. (ONE GARDEN COMMENT: We are sorry to hear of the transit damage and in such circumstances it's preferable to make us aware ASAP. This allows us the opportunity to send replacement parts free-of-charge, as repair is not expected of you. We are though pleased that the product is now complete and appealing to you.)

  This arbour is very strong and sturdy and took three to lift into situ. Easy to assemble. It has now been painted with Little Greene Ashes of Roses and Acorn Mid and has made a lovely feature to replace a North facing raised bed which struggled to grow anything. A new paved base really does give this seated arbour a country look. The underseat box is a bonus for storing cushions though I have yet to line it out in the plastic which it came in.

  Although the supplier apologised, the delivery of the screws was delayed by over a week. It looked as though the unit was one that had been returned by a previous customer and was passed on to me. Why do I say this? 1 - The few screws that did arrive were not in the original packing, 2- There was some damage to some of the woodwork which I have sorted. 3 -The overall packaging looked as though it had been twice. (ONE GARDEN COMMENT: We have reviewed your order history, the only issue reported being unfortunately the missing screws; which was resolved by your receipt of a full fixing pack in replacement. Zest have confirmed returned packaged goods are never re-issued intact, as these are unpacked, quality checked and dispersed into parts stock alone, thus packaged 'seconds' are impossible. Your goods therefore were newly packaged. We have though passed your feedback to Zest suggesting that the carrier employed may have roughly handled the boxes.)

  Lovely item. Delivery was very good and delivery driver was very helpful. Found it quite easy to put together. Took two of us a couple of hours, but we weren't rushing. It would have made things a lot easier if there had been pre-drilled pilot holes as we found the lining up took up most of our time. Roof was awkward, but got there in the end. Overall a lovely product once assembled and would recommend.

  The Arbour certainly looks the part but unfortunately the wood tends to split fairly easily. Mine arrived with a split baton in the storage box which I could live with as it was out of sight and was not weight bearing. Unfortunately on the 2nd use the supporting baton of the seat also cracked so now the seat does not sit right on the storage box and creaks when sat on so we do not sit on that side. I think the supporting batons should be more robust and would expect more for a product of this price. (ONE GARDEN COMMENT: Thank you for your feedback. Timber being a natural product can "split" for a variety of reasons without its structural integrity being harmed, such as during seasonal ambient expansion and contraction. During installation it is always advisable to pilot hole (pre-drill or with a bradawl) any screw hole to reduce expansion along the grain.)

  This product comes with clear instructions, the necessity of some expertise with a drill and definitely two people to assemble and erect. We had a lot of issues getting the roof slats in the correct place and ended up having to saw off the top peak to get the roof to sit correctly, enabling coping pieces to cover the final gap. Otherwise I would term it "rustic" in its appeal and overall appearance.
