Mineralized Roofing Felt

Description
The Shire Hampton Summerhouse would make a stylish addition to any garden.
Designed to be placed into a corner, with all of the outward facing walls being glazed or part glazed to allow maximum daylight to flood into the building.
The double doors and the flanking windows are glazed in the Georgian style, with many small square windows.
The Hampton Summerhouse is made from tongue and groove cladding to the walls and floor. The roof panels are solid sheet boarding.
Mineralized felt is supplied to cover the roof and full instructions, fixtures and fittings are provided as standard.
While it is designed for placement in the corner of a garden, we recommend allowing a little room all around this corner summerhouse to make it easier to re-apply wood preservative as instructed.

Very helpful staff when Ordering item. My joiner took 2 whole days to erect the summerhouse - one of the vertical posts was bowed and he had to buy another piece of wood. When assembling the roof panels, they would not go together and the whole building kept moving out of place, therefore, he had to make various adjustments so it would slide together as best possible. He felt that the panels had just been made and not checked that all the measurements were 100%. Any less qualified person would not have been able to erect this so the finish was satisfactory. However, after all his hard work, I am very pleased with the design.

Good quality construction. Delivered with all parts. Delivery driver was a bit grumpy, he didn't want to carry it the 20 yrds through to the end of the drive. Apparently when my 73 year old Mother-in-law started to carry the panels through, it shamed him into helping! Included plenty of screw/pins etc. Roof felt provided, just beware of the pointed corners on the roof as it easily rips it. A few extra pains of glass which is useful. It took us about 8 / 9 hours for 2 of us to assemble and fully glaze. One complaint (hence 4 stars) is the gate latch, the spindle isn't long enough for door thickness, also nowhere to position the latch guide. But it looks great when painted. Would recommend.

One Garden were excellent to deal with and provided good instructions (be sure to read carefully for preparation and future care). Worth looking at the colour ranges as well, we did and very pleased with the results. Even if you are good at DIY i would recommend having it constructed for you. We were going to do it ourselves, so glad we let them do it. The two very pleasant gentleman that delivered our summerhouse did a great job despite the weather not being very nice. They explained about aftercare and ensured everything was good before leaving. Great summerhouse, great price, highly recommend it, many thanks to all.

Reasonably pleased overall. Build quality leaves a bit to be desired. Too many nails have missed their mark and been left protruding into the summerhouse. Have had to remove them as some could have caught a hand or arm, not nice. One roof section of two pieces of board, the internal batten missed the join completely so had to fix that. A cross batten carrying a window was too loose so the window frame can move up and down. As a design and manufacturing engineer, I know mistakes get made but they should not be supplied to the customer. Check it, if it's incorrect, either rectify or replace. (ONE GARDEN COMMENT: Sincere apologies that you received parts which should have been identified during the manufacturers' quality process prior to their delivery to you. We will duly convey your feedback to them.)

It says you can build straight into paving but we are finding damp patches where it's drawing the water through. Going to try and lift it to elevate it and get something underneath it. The annoying thing is that we were ready to build onto something but decided not to due to this instruction. Plus a piece wood was split and glued? Better for the customer to replace before delivery. We contacted them and they replaced immediately. Good customer service and quick delivery. Would use again but make sure it's placed on waterproof material.

Will mark as a 5 * despite of the couple of issues, can't fault One Garden certainly would recommend them. (ONE GARDEN COMMENT: Shire designate this model with a generic "8x8" reference, therefore you are correct in that it is marginally smaller than say a full 8x8 feet. This is confirmed by our 'Detailed Measurements' in the specifications tab being; 7'8 external (roof) and 7'5 footprint (wall). If you still need a replacement door do let us know.)
