  This arch is well made and was not too difficult to assemble. I purchased 4 spikes to hold the legs firm to the ground. They are very short and not intended for such a structure but for edging. However, I gave them a try with one spike on each leg. In moderate winds the spikes did not hold, as I expected. I also noticed that one of the screws had broken (2-3 screws per spike). I discovered that nearly all the screws had snapped so relocated the spikes and used better screws. This short-term fix until I get some proper spikes. The uprights are 70mm (not 75mm) and it was difficult to find 70mm post spikes.

  I ordered this arch for my garden. It was delivered quickly and well packed. It came in kit form with all screws and fittings and good detailed instructions. I put it together on my own in under an hour. All you need is a drill, screwdriver and measure. It is well made and of solid construction. It is heavy to move although I was able to move it 50m down the garden on my own and erect it in place with 4 metposts and at almost 70 I'm not in the first flush of youth. You just need to be careful but if you have help I would advise using it. It would be easier to erect with 2 persons. I'm very pleased with the arch. It looks good in the garden and with the quality of wood it's made from it should last for years. A solid and quality piece of garden furniture. Recommended.
