Delivery was a bit delayed. Two left legs were received so I had to ask for the correct leg to be be sent, this received fairly promptly. Care was needed in the assembly because the instructions sometimes difficult to follow, it worked out OK in the end, but took longer than expected. Produces a nice piece of garden furniture but the V shaped trough for pots seems to need an additional 'shelf' to enable pots to stand securely upright. I think it will do the job when I get my outdoor herb pots organized in the spring.

I love the herb planter and it looks great when it is planted. However it did arrive with two parts broken so I needed to get someone to fix it before constructing. (ONE GARDEN COMMENT: Apologies for the transit damage while in the original carrier's possession. An alternative carrier now delivers this product to ensure improved handling and care.)

The planter is quite shallow, so limited space for compost. Assembly was easy.

Delivery was in accordance with website statements. Assembly instructions clear. Actual product was a disaster. The slats holding the trug boards together were incorrectly stapled - this meant that the three trugs if fitted would be at an angle and soil and water would fall/flow out. I disassembled and re-stapled together to make the trugs fit properly. Some stapled elements were poorly fitting and had to be refixed. Overall really poor quality and definitely not worth the money.

The planter looks lovely. What they don’t tell you is that the wood is treated with toxic chemicals so you must line the trays before planting anything that you might eat! It would be much better to give this information in the description. (ONE GARDEN COMMENT: The wood is not treated with toxic chemicals, as the pressure treatment of today is of a safer synthetic nature; the days of the use arsenic etc are long gone. The recommendation to line is a practical one to protect the timber from excessive soil moisture to reduce exposure to rot.)

The first planter I recieved was in very poor condition and the supplier agreed to replace it. The second planter however arrived damaged and I had to repair it before it could be assembled. I did send in photos but have not had a response from the manufacturer. I love the planter despite its imperfections and the customer service gentleman I spoke to regarding the first delivery was very kind and helpful arranging the exchange for me, however I don't think I will purchase a zest product again

Sunday 07th April 2019
The bottom line is I have a three level herb planter. However it does not look like it should, as the photo of finished product and instructions do not match. There is no indication of left and right, top and bottom, or front and back. Not to forget the rotation of the longest pieces; cross halving joint innermost - instructions, or outermost - photo. It is very easy to put together anyway you want to! (ONE GARDEN COMMENT: Thank you for your feedback. This sounds like incorrect instructions were packaged at the factory, we do apologise. The Stepped Herb Planter is simple to assemble, having only 7 wooden parts in total. On review of its instructions they are correct in all respects... We suspect you may have received Vertical Herb Planter instructions in error.)

Arrived quickly instruction not very clear like the Krypton factor and then found incorrect pieces of wood. Company very friendly and offered to replace missing side part but had to wait as they were stocktaking. Husband managed to chisel out the incorrect replacement part sent. The unit works and the herbs are happy but not quite as expected. So saying it was good value for monies and suits a rustic garden
