The Zest Large Cold Frame is delivered from central UK stocks held by Zest4Leisure. Depending on product size, one of two established carriers will undertake home delivery.
Vehicle
Typically, a 7.5 ton lorry will deliver. This will reach most locations an average car can. On occasion, a smaller 3.5 ton vehicle may be used for smaller items.
Access
Unloading will take place at the kerb-side or onto your adjacent driveway. Vehicles will not leave the public highway. A driver may be willing to carry the goods into your garden at their own discretion. Goods cannot be carried through your home, therefore if necessary please arrange some extra help privately.
Free Delivery
This product benefits from a free delivery service within mainland England, Wales and Southern Scotland. The above postcode checker will confirm this for you.
Delivery Period
Delivery will typically be made within the period quoted on this product. For larger products, the carrier will call and book in a convenient delivery date. For smaller products, a delivery date will be provided by email from the carrier, which will include a reference to allow online tracking.
Extended Delivery
Less frequently serviced locations may be subject to an extended delivery period of up to an additional 7 days. These distant locations include the Scottish Highlands.
Offshore Delivery
Zest4Leisure deliver across mainland Great Britain. Therefore, for this product we are unable to service; Isle of Wight, Isle of Man, Channel Islands, Northern Ireland and all of the Scottish Islands.
Distant Surcharge
Due to additional delivery zone fees, certain Scottish Highlands locations (Zone B) can only be serviced at a distant surcharge (at cost). The above post code checker can confirm if a surcharge will apply.
These locations include:
Zone B = Scottish Highlands (AB, IV, KW, FK19-21, PA36, PA38-40, PH17-26, PH30-41) at £14.99
For a limited range of bulky and/or extra-heavy products (gazebos and large furniture sets) to Zone B, the employment of a dedicated carrier at considerable additional cost is necessary. Such products can only therefore be serviced to Zone B locations at a bespoke Zone C rate of at least £149.99*. (*Zone C availability and cost confirmed on order receipt).

Bought this for my partner. Very easy to put together. Maybe easier to make up near where is it to be placed as it is very heavy. Highly recommend.

Very good quality and I managed to put it together single-handed. My only complaint is that I can't screw in the struts that are supposed to keep the lid open - they are square timbers and too awkward for me, but if you are more of a DIY person you should have no trouble at all. It all came well packaged with clear instructions, and delivery times were good.

Took two to assemble just because it was easier to hold the panels. Used drill for pilot holes and that made it much easier. My daughter and I assembled it in under 30 minutes start to finish. Really pleased with it. Haven’t had any windy or particularly bad weather yet so yet to see how it fares. So far so good.

Excellent product, solid and good looking at a reasonable price... Wish I'd bought it years ago! My son put it together in just over half an hour, and I've used it ever since.

Well priced. Once built it is a nice large cold frame. Construction is fairly easy, although would have been helped by predrilled holes (I suspect this is the same for other manufacturers cold frames). One Garden (and Zest) are to be praised for their customer service. Zest had missed out packing the bars to hold up the cold frame windows. I contacted One Garden, who contacted zest about the missing parts. They were delivered well within a week.

Good product. Could do with being taller but we got round this by placing it on runs of bricks. Only other observation is that the lid could be improved with beading all round the acrylic to make the closure on the lid more secure.

Arrived promptly and well packaged. Easy to assemble and a fairly sturdy Cold frame which is in good use. Would use this company again. Only four stars as there was no dispatch communication. A warning of it’s arrival would have been helpful as it was a large heavy item.

Good product. Easy to assemble. Painted it first to match garden woodwork. All items in good order apart from one Perspex sheet which was a bit jagged down one side but not so bad as to affect functionality and be worth asking for a replacement. Prompt delivery. Plants thriving.

Wednesday 29th July 2020
The cold frame was very easy to put together and is a good size to grow veg over winter and to start of summer crops. There isn't a latch on the lid so you may need to place a brick on to on top in high winds. The best part about my order was definitely the service from One Garden - easy to get hold of even during lockdown. Thank you very much to the One Garden team.

VERY pleased with this large cold frame, so far, although we’re currently at ‘completed’ stage, with nothing yet transferred to it (frosty, early March). With a cordless drill/driver, it’s very easy for one person to construct; and now that it’s been transformed with fence/timber paint, it looks very classy – like teak! Adding a couple of black cast iron handles, plus a turn catch between the lids so we can lift both at once (inexpensively sourced from Amazon), add a great finishing touch. It depends on personal need/expectation, of course – but it’s a substantial size and length (‘might even buy another!), and well-made for the price. A good find!

The cold frame arrived in good time unfortunately the perspex sheets were damaged, but soon replaced. The item is good quality but I feel that pilot holes are required for the assembly and the pegs that hold the perspex sheets in need to be re thought, they are on the outside of the frame which looks poor so I glued mine in.

This cold frame was half the price of similar items on the web, but I was pleased on arrival, sturdy and rot-proofed, it is excellent value. I decided to use stronger woodscrews and improve the glazing security strips but yes a GOOD BUY.

This is a sturdy, large cold frame with clear polycarbonate lids. You need a few diy skills to put it together as it comes flat packed, but if you can use a screwdriver there shouldn’t be a problem. I think the timber is treated but I painted mine a smart shade of green and it’s going to get a lot of use over winter. A good buy for the money.

Although I am happy with the end result, assembling this product requires skill and appropriate tools. It was necessary to pre-drill the holes for some of the screws and the wood is quite rough cut although adequate for its intended purpose. It does need to be protected if it’s going to last. Probably okay for the price.
