Description
The Yardmaster 54PEZ shed is the smallest member of the Yardmaster Store-All family of compact pent roof metal sheds.
This metal shed benefits from standard features which include rust-free screws, a ventilated profiled roof and free anchor bolt fixings; to secure the shed to your concrete or paved solid base. The single door is of the hinged variety, being complete with handles holed to accept a customer-supplied padlock.
The roof of the 54PEZ has been designed to be able to be installed to slope either to the left or right, as viewed when looking at the door.
This 54PEZ pent metal shed is supplied in a zinc painted finish as part of the 7-layer anti-corrosion protection process offered by Yardmaster across their range of hot-dipped galvanized buildings. The strong yet neat looking ribbed wall and roof panels are thicker and harder to dent, with folded edges for safe assembly.
Supplied with a DIY assembly manual, the flat-pack components are clearly numbered for self-assembly. A common installation involves screwing the pre-holed metal profiled sheeting to a skeleton-style framework, complete with a base rail.
Yardmaster are Europe's largest manufacturer of maintenance-free metal sheds, which are renown for their 'baked on permanent colour finish'.

The shed arrived far quicker than predicted (which wasn't a problem), although we were supposed to get a call before it arrived. Thankfully I was home for lunch so could accept it. It was easy but fiddly to put together. Definitely need two people to assemble it. Not the most secure of sheds (could open it with a tin opened or a swift kick). The lock can be unscrewed from the outside so this could be better designed. Great to store non valuable items, wouldn't risk important items. Overall it is a lovely shed, good size.

The ordering and delivery of the shed was first class. It’s quite heavy and the driver was really helpful in bringing it in which before hand I was quite concerned about. In regard to construction the most important point I think I can make is to build a sturdy and secure base you will find it makes it a lot easier during construction and provides for a much better finish. Other that that find a good friend who knows what he’s doing and you will end up with a shed built for purpose at an economical price.

Value for money shed, could do with some written instructions along with the drawings. The door is very flimsy but easily stiffened with a sheet of 1/4ply screwed to the back of the door. The roof vents really need blocking off with perforated thin metal sheet to mentain ventilation and keep out wasps and bees. If you require shelving stick to free standing units as the thin wall panels will not take the shelf weight on shelf brackets.

Good but two small suggestions: At production ensure all holes are actually cleared. I had to undo and remove a panel I had fitted as the final hole was was blocked by a punched out circle of metal had remained in place and I could not remove it while it was still in place. There were about five in total but I learnt to check all holes before fitting. A profiled filler for the roof wall joint would also be good.

Really fast delivery, I can't fault them for that.... However, the door hadn't been made properly meaning the top fold was out of line so the door wouldn't close at all. Rather than send it back for a new door, I worked out a fix involving a Dremel tool to remove some of the door frame at the top. The door now closes properly. The bracket for the padlock position is halfway down and is made of plastic. I have since fitted two heavy duty padlocks with clasps. All the panels are screwed together with self tapping screws from the outside, including the door hinges and door frame. So in order to break in, simply spend a couple of seconds with a phillips screwdiver and you're in. I have since gone around the whole shed with rivets. That all being said, I would buy another one if I needed it. It is simple enough to put together as long as you fully read the instructions properly in advance and take you're time. (ONE GARDEN COMMENT: Gosh... It sounds like you've turned your £135 basic shed (the entry Yardmaster model) into a deluxe, high security enclosure! Not really necessary as the design has been proven over several decades now, but 10 out of 10 for effort).

I ran out of the lock washers but bought some cheaply so as to fix all self tappers in position. Care needed with all edges as very sharp. Very happy with finished product
