An assurance from the manufacturer that their timber product, if maintained according to their policy, will resist rot within a 10 year period.
Sustainably Sourced Timber
The timber used for this product was obtained from a managed resource, where responsible forest management and re-planting are employed.
Pressure Treatment
Wood is placed into an airtight tank, by vacuum the air is replaced with preservative. This superior process extends lifespan allowing in-ground use.
Square Edge
A simple cladding method where square-cut boarding is secured in a solid butted or open slatted format to a parallel arrangement.
Description
The Zest 5ft Garden Bench is a classic slatted bench construction with vertical slatted back panel.
The back is topped with a gently domed section. Height from floor to seat is approx 43cm.

Overall we are very satisfied with the bench and use it on an almost daily basis. However one or two issues were found when it arrived, although none were serious enough to warrant its return or to raise a complaint, as I was able to rectify the slight damage found quite easily. Firstly, I must say that the processing of the order and the delivery of the bench was carried out in a very professional way and well within the expected timescale. Unfortunately, when unpacked, damage was found on two of the pre-made components of the bench and also a screw had been inserted from below the seat panel such, that it projected into a gap between the pieces of wood used to construct the bench seat. (Photographs of this and the damage can be provided). Although it didn't protrude far enough to cause a problem for anyone sitting on the bench, a child's fingers could easily make contact with it. The damage to the woodwork had left sharp or rough edges if sliding your hand over the surface, but were small enough to be overcome with a minimum of DIY skill. Having said all that, the assembly was a relatively easy process creating a very solid bench made from a good quality timber which should last for years - especially with the use of the fitted cover.
