Description
The Yardmaster 108GEYZ shed is a member of the popular Yardmaster Emerald Deluxe GEYZ range of metal sheds.
This metal shed benefits from standard features which include rust-free screws, a ventilated and high-gabled profiled roof and free anchor bolt fixings; to secure the shed to your concrete or paved solid base. The double door is of the sliding variety, being complete with handles holed to accept a customer-supplied padlock and an overlapping feature to keep the weather out.
This 108GEYZ apex metal shed is supplied in a dark green and zinc painted finish as part of the 7-layer anti-corrosion protection process offered by Yardmaster across their range of quality hot-dipped galvanized buildings. The strong yet neat looking ribbed wall and roof panels are thicker and harder to dent, with folded edges for safe assembly.
Supplied with a DIY assembly manual, the flat-pack components are clearly numbered for self-assembly. A common installation involves screwing the pre-holed metal profiled sheeting to a skeleton-style framework, complete with a base rail.
Yardmaster are Europe's largest manufacturer of maintenance-free metal sheds, which are renown for their 'baked on permanent colour finish'.

In general I am please with the shed, but I would like to make a couple of comments. Firstly some of the joints which are cut out on a machine some of the metal had not cut off properly this would be from the cutting machine not being sharp so I had to remove this to allow the corners to meet correctly, also the screws and washers for the roof are to small and the hence lets water in through the roof when it rains, one question is why do you fix through trough and not the the top of the profile?

Took one look at the instructions and decided to get professional help. The two workmen completed the shed within 6 hours, after reviewing the easiest build options on YouTube, something which I strongly advice. The actual shed is good provided you take the time to seal correctly (all gaps etc and lower area is an absolute must) and make sure it is correctly tethered down for windy conditions. Brilliant garage for my mowers and other garden objects! My only con would be the doors are pretty flimsy.

It is an EPIC build. There are less fixings in the Forth Road Bridge, so make sure you have 2 batteries for your drill driver. It looks great, but all the panels are made of tin foil. There is no hope whatsoever of it being water tight, without copious amounts of mastic. But at the end of the day it has a roof (of sorts) sides and a door that locks. A shed in it's most basic form.

Comment from contractor upon completion of build, "that was the first & it will be the last" As an ex draughtsman I had to agree the drawings are pretty but terribly difficult to follow. Perhaps if drawn in convention with a general arrangement & not in isometric projection. The security level is very poor plastic handles will not deter burglars. Suggest some modification as a matter of urgency. In fact I would appreciate comment on how to make the unit more secure

I read reviews before I bought this. Mostly positive, I do all my own diy so I ignored the negative thinking/hoping maybe they were from people not familiar with flat pack. Well the negatives were spot on. putting this shed up is the hardest thing I’ve ever done lol. I The instructions are confusing and a lot of the parts over lap making it almost impossible to find the tiny holes, it you like puzzles and jigsaws this product is for you. If you have no patience like me do not buy. Or pay someone to put it up for you. I had to screw 3 extra screws into a roof panel as it was leaking badly. The shed is complete, feels sturdy and I think the leak is fixed but hasn’t rained heavy to see for sure

I like to think I am an experienced DIY person but this shed came with no written instructions just diagrams and without the help of an independent YouTube video, would have not been easy to erect. Delivery boxes are heavy, one is +60kilos, took 2 people 3 days to erect, many pre drilled holes do not line up, all screws had to be left loose to manoeuvre the panels to get all the screws in before tightening and some wall panels do not fully overlap leaving gaps. Putting the erected roof in place takes 2 people with good upper body strength, my wife and I in our 60’s and struggled. Door entrance is very low, lacerations on my head to prove it and I’ve ended up sealing the exterior base and roof screws with waterproof tape and sealant to prevent rain water ingress. Overall I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone.

Brilliant value for the money but wowser, be prepared! This might indeed take two fit and strong people a day to build (and a lot of money), but for a couple of arthritic geriatrics, it was hours and hours of huffing and puffing, tea breaks, regular and prolific use of profanity, a day off for rain, another loooong day of scrabbling around scratching heads and working out how it all fits together (then doing it wrong and having to undo a dozen screws), a socially distanced visit from strong neighbours to lift the roof on, another day of adjusting, tightening, drilling into the base for the fixing kit and general fiddling around. But we did it, we're absurdly proud of ourselves and the result is a strong, sturdy, smart and very durable shed. For the money, you can't beat it - just be prepared to put in the time....oh and silicon in every screw as you go, but double check you've put them in correctly first. Several bars on the roof had to be unscrewed again to fit the walls...instructions are diagrammatic, but you need to peer carefully to interpret some of them. I also spent a happy 30 minutes sorting every single screw, washer and hinge into little (labelled) pots so they didn't all spill out of the tiny polythene bags they arrive in. Customer service is fantastic, one vital piece of the base fixing kit was missing and they sent an entire replacement kit by overnight post, free of charge. Impressive all round.

This is our second Yardmaster metal shed, that last one was over 12 years old, no rust and not a mark on the shed even after 12 years, we have now moved and needed a shed so we brought the 10 x 8 Emerald Deluxe and the same good quality as before, the metal sheets are very thin but once assembled its a strong shed, the instruction manual let's its self down in a few places, but in general its ok. Apart from having help to get the roof on, assembled on my own and took about 12 hours (over 2 days), but would be a lot easier with 2 people. I wouldn't use a power screwdriver as with the wrong setting you could strip some the the threads, your better off using the correct size handheld screwdriver as you can better feel how much pressure you are applying to the screw (and they are hundreds of screws). Overall a great shed that will last for many years to come and apart from cleaning the gutter system once a year, its maintenance free.

I enjoyed building the Yardmaster shed. Some of the drawings were not easy to follow, but if you have some diy experience it’s not difficult to work out how it fits together. If I had an engineering background. I guess it would be easy to transpose the drawings. I was surprised how all the fixing holes lined up, making the construction quite easy for one person. Make sure that you tick off all the parts against the instruction booklet as I was short of one particular type of screws. You need space and time to put this together and more than two people to put the roof on makes it easier. As the screws and fixings are fitted together the shed becomes quite sturdy. I put silicon sealant on all the roof screws and washers. The build is now complete and I am pleased with the result. There are no leaks and I would build another one if needed.

Assembly was relatively straight forward after all the parts are sorted in to roof, walls and base. The roof needs a couple of people to put together as bits flap around at the start. I ran out of bolts to complete the roof structure so had to improvise a little. The doors were a little confusing to start with but went on ok in the end. Once completed it is quite strong. One criticism would be that the door way is a bit low, so it might take a bit of time to get used to. Overall though a nice shed.

Excellent value for money - once erected you have a sturdy, maintenance free shed at considerably less cost than a wooden one of the same size. A few tips: Using the instruction booklet, check all the main components are there and undamaged when delivered. Yardmaster will send replacements if necessary, as they will if you come up a few screws or bolts short (which happened to us). Allow a good two days for two people to erect the shed. Build the roof separately on the ground and lift it into place once the rest of the shed is up. You might need additional help to do this. Ensure the base of the shed is secured squarely to its concrete or wooden base. If it's out of square the walls will not fit properly. When building the walls do not fully tighten the fixing screws until all of the panels have interlocked snugly on each side. The panels are slightly pliable and this will enable you to ease the panels into position. By doing this we only had a few holes that had to be re-drilled to ensure a perfect fit when fitting the roof. A highly recommended product with very good customer service from Yardmaster.

Very pleased with the finished product, however buyers beware not the easiest shed to erect. Instructions not clear - especially with regards to which screws to use. However was given a little tip to erect roof first and this worked very well. Took 2 people about 6 hours to complete - including a couple of breaks. Overall happy with result.

Overall I am very pleased with this product. One slight issue with some holes just not lining up as hard as I tried. Even with a completely flat, level base. As a result a small amount of water can get in from a few places. I'm Happy though and now have a nice space to hide from the kids.
